Physical Health can be an intimidating subject. As life grows increasingly busy, our health and exercise take a backseat to work, school, family, and all the unexpected circumstances life throws at us. Shorter lunch breaks lead to fast foods, lack of movement at work or school adds to back and shoulder pain, and the absolute absence of energy when you get home discourages you from an afternoon jog.
Realizing that exercise is only part of the battle, TCDC has teamed up with local organizations to offer monthly nutrition and exercise events. By challenging our Arizona communities to be active every day, Heart and Soul provides a holistic and easy way for friends, family, and co-workers to begin breaking through the barriers in pursuing a healthy lifestyle. Individuals will learn about the importance and benefits of nutrition and exercise while being rewarded for staying active.
Adults (Age 18+) - Your goal is to be active for at least 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week, for 6 consecutive weeks. As an alternative, you can count your daily activity steps using a pedometer (Goal: 8,500).
Kid's | Teens (Ages 6-17) - Your goal is to be active for 60 minutes a day, 5 days a week, for 6 weeks. As an alternative, you can count your daily activity steps using a pedometer (Goal - Girls: 11,000 Boys: 13,000).
