Our ability to support any situation is only through the dedication and the excellent skills of our volunteers. They are the backbone of our operation, and we would like to thank them for their work. These are everyday people performing extraordinary acts of kindness and generosity by spending many hours of their personal time every month providing important information and valuable service in our community.
Each year thousands of people serve as TCDC volunteers serving local community needs - helping people in emergencies, raising funds for equipment and services, organizing programs for the elderly, for the youth... and more.
Our volunteers come from all walks of life, ranging from high school students to adults to seasonal visitors and retirees.
Our volunteers work directly with people and provide behind the scenes support. Our goal is to find a match for your interests with opportunities throughout our community programs.
The rewards of volunteering are many:
You may develop an interest in a particular skill.
Volunteering provides valuable work experience that young people need in applying for jobs, scholarships and college programs.
You can make a difference and contribute to society by giving back to your community.
You can make lifelong friends.
