About the event
Youth Taking Charge (YTC) is a coalition for youth aged 12-17 and is part of TCDC's HEAAL Coalition. YTC aims to build authentic relationships through small group participation. They utilize peer-to-peer discussions to enhance youth awareness of the dangers of substance misuse and support a trauma-informed environment.
By conducting community surveys and Town Halls, they identify the needs of their peers and assist them in advocacy. They organize alternative activities, such as presentations at the local movie theater, to raise awareness about available mental health and resources for teens.
