Big "O" Community Cares Project

The Big “O” Community Cares Project is a dynamic, community-health driven initiative committed to uplifting young athletes and their families through the power of basketball and vital wraparound support services.  At the core of the project is an Instructional and Fun-Filled Basketball Clinic for Boys & Girls, led by former NBA and WNBA players. These inspiring mentors bring world-class experience, offering skill development, encouragement, and guidance that extend far beyond the game. But the impact doesn’t stop at the court.

Big “O” Community Cares Project Recognizing that thriving young athletes need strong support systems, the Big “O” Community Cares Project was created to honor the life of Former NBA Veteran, Oliver “Big O” Miller who used his bigger than life personality to encourage youngsters to achieve greatness in whatever field they choose to follow. This project will host Parent Roundtables—safe, empowering spaces where families can connect, share, and learn from licensed therapists, counselors, and behavioral coaches. These sessions provide practical tools to help parents nurture their children’s personal growth and athletic journey.

To further support proactive wellness, the project offers on-site diagnostic screenings for parents and educators. With oversight from a licensed physician, blood and urine testing provides quick and reliable health insights, with results delivered within 72 hours.

A major strength of the Big “O” Community Cares Project is its powerful network of former professional athletes—including AC Green, the Co-Owner of One Health Holdings Bio Laboratory, Adrian Williams-Strong, Corey Gaines, Jeff Malone, Lafayette "Fat" Lever, and Olden Polynice. Their involvement inspires participants and brings authenticity, credibility, and motivation to the program.
In essence, the Big “O” Community Cares Project is more than a sports clinic—it’s a movement. One that nurtures talent, supports families, fosters healthy living, and empowers communities through education, mentorship, and access to critical resources.
